The Exeter Tuesday 6-a-side football league continued to pulsate with energy and excitement, as it concluded its 13th week of exhilarating competition among local teams.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Snortsmouth United edged past 6 Bricks in a tight match with a 2-1 scoreline. In another eye-catching performance, HEAV CRESS dominated Strawberry Moussa with a whopping 7-1 victory. George Ashford and Alex Bond of HEAV CRESS stood out, scoring two goals each. Leaders Wacko remain top on goal difference after an excellent 4-1 victory over reigning champions Thirsty Beaver. Saints produced a top performance in the other game as they defeated The Boys 6-3.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, there was a high-scoring draw between Diff Heads and Murder On Zidanes Floor, ending 4-4. Meanwhile, leaders Boyzees had a field day against The Beans, defeating them with a 7-1 victory. Albanian Rozzers also had an impressive 6-0 win against Shin Kickers Utd, with Josh Quessou shining bright, scoring a hat-trick to become the top scorer in the division. The other game saw We Argue get the only goal of the game as they edged out Rigor Morty's 1-0.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, Werder Beermen overcame Sands United FC Exeter with a 4-2 victory while leaders Tiki Taka defeated second place Spoono Fernandes 4-1 to seal the title with a game to spare in this clash of the titans in Div 2. Tiki Taka's Josh Brown was on fire, bagging three goals to scoop the top scorer accolade in this division. The other game saw Pathetic Athletic win their game 2-1 against Chubby Alonso's.
DIVISION THREE
Finally, in Division 3, there were high octane clashes with leaders Goal Goal Power Rangers losing to Pique Blinders in an 11-goal thriller 6-5 while Exonian FC outscoring Only Fools And Ballers 5-2. Also noteworthy was Saka Potatoes who defeated Topsham Tips FC 10-3. Claudio Oliveira from Partners claimed the top scorer title in this division, netting three goals however his team suffered a 6-4 loss at the hands of Win Some Lose Some who moved above them into the promotion spots with just a game to go.
The most valued player of the week was the skilled and unyielding Alex Bond from HEAV CRESS. His contribution was a testament to his team's impressive performance and a key factor in their success. Everyone will be looking forward to the next week of this riveting league, promising more exciting action and exceptional performances.
