Halfway point of the season at Exeter Tuesday 6 a side

It was the final round of matches before a 3 week Christmas break at our Exeter Tuesday night 6 a side league at Exwick Hub. Here's a look at all the results from the 4 divisions as we reached the halfway point of the season.

Unfortunately in the Premier League Tremors saw their lead at the top cut to a point as they were unable to raise a side for their match with Pie & Gravy who picked up a points match win. Los Cojonudos United closed the gap to a point on the leaders with a convincing 14-3 win over new team C.F Murrayball. Thirsty Beaver are up to 4th after a 8-4 win over Inter Yanan while Chicken Tika Taka beat Cesc Offenders by the same scoreline.

There wasn't any movement in Div 1 as the top 4 teams all picked up wins on match day 7. Leaders Queasy Nurples defeated Bayern Bru 4-0 to ensure they are top at Christmas. Hakuna Juan Mata are two points behind after a 5-2 victory against Crystal Phallas. Third place DX United had a narrow 2-1 win against Private FC while Liquorice Allsports won 9-3 against Blood, Sweat and Beers.

FCSB continue to dominate Div 2 as they won 7-0 against Win Some Lose Some to give themselves a 4 point cushion at the top. The Dons and International All Stars served up a rare scoreline on the night, both keepers coming out of it with clean sheets after a 0-0 draw. Giroud Sandstorm made it back to back wins to edge closer towards safety with a 9-2 victory against Unreal Madrid. Finally Chubby Alonso's won their game with Hardly Athletic 3-0.

Another great solid performance from Div 3 leaders Rigor Morty's saw them defeat Into Your Grandad 5-0 to keep their 100% record in tact. Second place Reus Crispies had a big 18-1 win over Tinpot Town FC while Crackin Plurrs are up to third and leapfrog Strawberry Moussa with a 5-1 win over them. Finally a nine goal thriller ended with a 5-4 win for Sands United as they beat Law Abiding Sigurdssons.

That's it for this year folks. Thank you to all our teams and of course to all our refs, Ash, Neil, Danny, Lester, Andy and our ball boy. Merry Christmas everyone, we are back on the 11th January! Thanks Rich
