New Season is underway at Exeter Tuesday 6 a side

It was the start of the new season on Tuesday night at our Exeter 6 a side league down at Exwick Hub. Firstly thank you to all 32 teams for paying online, it's a massive help and really appreciated. The trophy and medals were also handed out to the winners from last season, those team photos will be on the Exeter Exwick Hub Facebook group later today.

Here's a quick look at the results from Tuesday's action. In the Premier League defending champions Pie & Gravy got off to a winning start as they defeated new boys Thirsty Beaver 8-2, a tough beginning for any team starting out. Los Cojonudos United are actually top after week one though as they won 8-1 against Tuesday Knights. Tremors FC also had a big win as they beat Snorting Lisbon 8-2 while Chicken Tika Taka sealed a 6-2 win over Inter Yanan.

Hakuna Juan Mata started with a bang in Div 1 as they defeated Blood, Sweat and Beers 13-0 to go top. Bayern Bru also had a good victory as they beat Liquorice Allsorts 7-0. The other two matches were much closer as Queasy Nurples took the points in their match with new team DX United winning 5-3 while Crystal Phallas secured a victory against Private FC 3-1.

Div 3 champions FCSB started life in Div 2 in fine fashion as they won 7-0 against Hardly Athletic to sit at the summit after match day one. Weirdly the other three matches in the division all ended in 2-1 wins for the home sides. Win Some Lose Some won against International All Stars, The Dons defeated Giroud Sandstorm while Unreal Madrid beat Chubby Alonso's.

Finally we round up Div 3's scores as Crackin Purrs hit top spot with a 6-1 victory over Tinpot Town FC. Reus Crispies sit second after a 5-1 win against Sands United. Rigor Mortys and Strawberry Moussa also started the season with wins a Mortys beat Law Abiding Sigurdssons 5-2 and Moussa won 4-0 against Into Ur Grandad.

Big thank you to all our teams and to our referee's Ash, Andy, Danny and Lester and our ball boy of course. Good luck to everyone on match day 2 next week. Thanks Rich 07969 731086
