Pie & Gravy back top Prem at Exeter Tuesday 6 a side

It was match day 9 down at our Exeter Tuesday 6 a side league last night as we move towards the business end of the season.

The Premier League title race is wide open this season with only 4 points separating the top five teams after week 9. Reigning champions Pie & Gravy haven't had it all their own way this season but returned to the top of the table with an impressive 8-6 victory against another title hopeful Tremors FC.  Los Cojonudos drop a place to second on goal difference as they were held to a 4-4 draw by bottom side Murrayball. Another two teams in contention are Chicken Tika Taka who won 8-6 against Cherries and Thirsty Beaver who defeated Inter Yanan 8-4.

The top two in Div 1 gave themselves a bit of breathing room as leaders Queasy Nurples won 3-1 against Tiki Taka while second place Hakuna Juan Mata beat Crystall Phallas 9-2. Third place DX United lost some ground as they suffered a 6-0 loss to Private FC while Liquorice Allsports won a close game with Blood, Sweat & Beers 6-4.

FCSB continue to runaway with the league in Div 2 as they remain unbeaten, last night beating Win Some Lose Some 3-1. Second place The Dons are now a distant 6 points adrift as they went down to International All Stars 4-2, All Stars moving up to third. Chubby Alonso's eased their relegation fears with a 8-0 victory against Hardly Athletic while there was a 0-0 stalemate between Giroud Sandstorm and Unreal Madrid.

Rigor Morty's made it 9 straight wins as they power towards the Div 3 title with a 4-2 away win against Into Ur Grandad. Despite winning all their games Morty's are only 3 points clear of second place Reus Crispies who continued their impressive form beating Tinpot Town 3-0. Strawberry Moussa are up to third as they leapfrog Crackin Plurrs with a 2-0 win over them. Finally Sands bounced back from defeat last week to win 1-0 against Law Abiding Sigurdssons.

Big thanks to all our refs and teams down at Exwick. See you all next week for match day 10, Cheers Rich
