Royal Wootton Bassett Sunday match report
It was an amazing day for six a side football to get back underway in the Leisure Leagues Royal Wootton Bassett Sunday league at The Gerard Buxton Sports Ground. Every team was in attendance and a great night was had by all.
In the first games of the night, Hardley Athletic claimed a 5-0 win which sees them move to 3rd in the table.
In the second game Wa Ge FC, playing their second match of the night, took on league favourites Toit Nups. Toit Nups grabbed two quick goals while Wa Ge were still recovering but after that the team in orange saw the lion share of possession and were unlucky not to come away with a result. It bodes well for the rest of the season that Wa Ge seem to be a team capable of challenging for top honours.
In the final game of the night, new team Tockenham Park took on Bens Big Boys. It was a free flowing game with plenty of chances for both teams. However, it was Tockenham who had the better eye for goal and they came away 5-1 winners.
There is still ONE SPACE in the league. Join now for FREE and play next week.
