The inaugural week of the Halifax Monday Football League kicked off with a slew of thrilling matches. As the season has just begun, each team took to the field, eager to gain an early lead in the standings.
In the Premier League division, the atmosphere was electric as Pez Athletic went head to head with TAA Very Much in a hard-fought battle, with TAA Very Much narrowly securing a victory with a score of 4-3. Calder V FC also came out strong against FC Floppy, punching in a resounding 8-5 victory. The biggest upset of the night, however, was when Daddy Day Care dominated Sevilla Depression with a convincing 9-3 win.

The Minnows and Pudding Boys offered a tight contest with The Minnows eking out a 4-3 victory. Dodgy Knees FC gave a stand-out performance, shutting out Inky Jims FC with a 6-0 triumph. Old And Passed It put up a good fight but ultimately fell to EXPOSED NUGGETS FC 4-2 in a riveting match.
While it's still early days, top scorers in each division have begun to emerge. In the Premier League, Daddy Day Care leads the charge, while in Division 1, Dodgy Knees FC has set the pace.
