It was the final night of 5 a side football at Halifax's 3GI Centre for 2017, as we saw all teams in attendance with the only exception being Bois. As this is the second successive week they have missed, they will now be taken out of the league.
It was also disappointing to hear of a disciplinary incident in the game involving We're Dier. Jake Reilly was sent off for abusing the referee, and as a result of his actions he will receive a £20 fine and two week ban.
Leisure Leagues employs a zero tolerance policy towards aggressive or abusive behaviour at any of the leagues that we operate. Any team or player seen to be behaving in such a manner will receive fines and bans accordingly.
The league is now off for the festive break until Wednesday 3rd January 2018, so we would like to wish all teams a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
