The penultimate week of the season in Havant played out last night with most of our teams ready and raring to go. We welcomed Rapid Decline back to the prem and they restarted with a game against Westy Utd who had Jordan Evans to thank for the 6 - 0 win. He and Jack Legg both netted good hattricks. Cardiac Arrest cemented their place as the strongest team at the event with a good 5 - 3 win over 2nd placed Puff Puff Pass. James Crane with a good hattrick for the champions.
The Div One trophy hunt is very much alive after Kye Rovers slipped to defeat in their game with 3rd placed Six Bells Vets. Lloyd Legg bagged 2 for Six Bells to make sure the title goes to the last week. OAP's had a 5 - 0 points win to close the gap to just 1 point and they will do all they can to make sure that if Kye Rovers falter again, they are there to snatch the trophy from them. Smashers won 3 - 1 against The Hurricanes thanks to 2 from Luke Payne and RCFC had a 5 - 0 win with Emsworth Town frustratingly not turning up.
Bottle Jobs are all but guaranteed the Div Two title now. Unless a new team jumps in they will have a points win next week which is enough to give them the trophy. This week they were held to a nervy 0 - 0 draw by Willian Your Mouth but still maintain a 2 point lead from Meat FC who continued their fine form with a 5 - 1 win against Peter File X1. Bailey Kerridge and Mackenzie Moore both scoring 2 each to make it very likely that they will play Division One football next season. Tekkerslovakia remain 3rd after a 4 - 1 win over Whatdivock and Westleigh Rovers took a 5 - 0 points win from their points match this week.
Well done to everyone who was there on a blustery night at Westleigh Park. We look forward to the season finale next Monday and then look to make plans for the new season starting on 14th November.
