In the latest round of the Havant Monday 6-a-side Football league, audiences were treated to a spectacle of talent, teamwork and tactical prowess across three divisions. Week 5 of the season brought electrifying action from Division 1, 2 and 3.
In Division 1, Westy United emerged as the winners, defeating Leigh Park United with a convincing 9-3 victory. The hero of the day was Zac Adams, bagging an impressive 6 goals for Westy United. The match between Smashers and Misfits ended in a 2-2 deadlock, while Puff Puff Pass outmanoeuvred Rapid Decline with a 4-2 triumph.
Division 2's highlights included a 5-3 victory for Smokin Jokers against Meat FC, with Mikey Davis securing top scorer of the division with a hat-trick. Flamingo FC also triumphed over Giroud Sandstorm with a 3-1 scoreline, while Pol Gus breezed past Calm & Composed FC with a 3-0 win.
Meanwhile, in Division 3, 2 Goals 1 Cup showed their prowess with a 3-0 win against AFC Mole Hill. Saka Spuds clinched a narrow 4-3 win against The Rejects, in which Owen Murray from The Rejects shone, scoring a total of 3 goals and emerging as top scorer for the division. Other matches saw a 1-1 draw between Barely Athletic and Man Tity, and a 2-1 victory for Meat Reserves over MoLeicester City.
However, the crowning glory of the week was Jack Heselwood of 2 Goals 1 Cup, who put on a stellar performance to secure the title of the week's Most Valued Player. This week's matches highlighted the competitive spirit and the thrilling talent in Havant's local football circuit.
