In an exhilarating week 3 of the Havant Monday 6-a-side Football League, teams across three divisions battled it out under the floodlights.
In Division 1, El Pork Pies and Leigh Park United fought to a 2-2 stalemate, while Westy United narrowly edged out Puff Puff Pass with a 1-0 victory. The third match saw Smashers clinch a dramatic 2-1 win over Rapid Decline. The standout player of the division was Jacob Payne from Smashers, who found the back of the net twice for the defending champions.
Division 2 saw some high-scoring action, with Flamingo FC falling to Hayling FC 2-3, while Meat FC ran riot against Giroud Sandstorm, securing a 5-0 win. Meat FC's very own Kai Cutler emerged as the division's top scorer with two goals to his name.
Moving to Division 3, AFC Mole Hill made a definitive statement with a 4-0 victory over Man Tity. Saka Spuds delivered a 3-0 victory over MoLeicester City. In the final matchup, Barely Athletic fell 2-4 to Meat Reserves. The division's top scorer was Taylor Keens from Saka Spuds, scoring a hat trick in his standout performance.
The star of the week, however, was AFC Mole Hill's Warren Harrison, who was named the Most Valued Player. Harrison's performance was instrumental in his team's resounding victory and he surely caught the eye of many with his display of skill and tenacity.
As we close the third week of the Havant Monday 6-a-side league, the competition heats up. Teams across all three divisions continue to vie for supremacy, promising intriguing matches and top-class football in the weeks to come.
