In an exhilarating week 12 of the Havant Monday football league, teams across three divisions clashed in a display of skill, strategy, and absolute sportsmanship. As the season nears its climax, with just two weeks left, the competition is heating up and registering for the next season is sure to be a scramble.
In Division 1, Puff Puff Pass delivered an outstanding performance with a massive victory over relatively new side Saka Spuds. The feat included a whopping 9 goals from top scorer Jamie Hounslow, a testament to his exceptional form this season. Westy United also shone on the field with a decisive 9-1 win over the Misfits to keep the title race going down to the wire. The top two face off in the final game of the season and we are heading for a winner takes all play off for the Division One trophy.
In the 2nd Division, AFC Mole Hill reigned supreme with a 5-0 clean sweep against Leigh Park United. Giroud Sandstorm defeated Westleigh Rovers 4-1, while Flamingo FC edged out WhatDivock FC with a 2-0 scoreline. Most Valued Player of the week, Thai Allan, played a pivotal role in AFC Mole Hill's victory, scoring 2 of the 5 goals, marking him as the top scorer in Division 2.
The Division 3 games were equally thrilling. Meat FC beat Pathetico Athletico 2nds with a 6-0 score, including a hat-trick from top scorer Bailey Kerridge. Kye Rovers narrowly defeated AFC Mole Patrol, while Sheffield Monday triumphed over Barely Athletic with a 5-1 victory.
As the season rapidly approaches its end, securing a place for the next season seems more competitive than ever. The most valued player of the week, Thai Allan, and top scorers from each division have set the bar high, making the forthcoming weeks and the next season incredibly promising for football fans and aspiring players alike.
