Cardiac Arrest took a big step towards securing another Prem title in Havant last night with solid 2 - 0 win over nearest rivals Westy Utd in another big night of action down at Havant & Waterlooville FC. The league leaders are now 4 points clear as we start the run in to the end of the season and it seems another title is headed the way of Havant's most successful 6 a side team. OAP's close the gap on Westy to just a point with a 5 - 0 points win thanks to AW being away this week and Puff Puff Pass pulled put of the relegation zone with a commanding 7 - 0 win over the struggling Kye Rovers. Tom Newman's hat-trick doing a large part of the damage.
Division One leaders Don't Go Nowhere were let down by Bub Bub not showing up which is very frustrating. They take a 5 - 0 win and we will be finding out what happened to Bub Bub today. Obviously their match fee will still need paying and a good explanation will be required or their journey could end here with two teams still waiting to join this ever popular league. The 5 - 0 win keeps Don't Go Nowhere on course for the Division One title and they lead Rapid Decline by 5 points with 4 games to play. Rapid did all they could to stay in touch with a good 3 - 1 win over Meat FC while Mole Hill pulled out of the bottom two with a strong 2 - 0 win over Smashers who are 3rd.
Looks like a cracking title run in is developing in Division Two where we welcomed another new side in Leigh Park Utd. TopG's and PCS Vets share the lead and both won their games this week, TopG's with a comfortable 6 - 1 score over Westleigh Rovers and PCS Vets edging past a resilient KFC Workers team 2 - 1. The two newest teams in the league matched up with Leigh Park Utd making an impressive debut. Shane Marshall and Phil Harrington both netted hat-tricks while team mate Rich Hayward went one better with 4 as the divisions latest entries got off to a flyer with a 13 - 0 win. Can they make a late charge for the promotion places ? The next few weeks will be quite interesting in this division if they can.
Tekkerslovakia continue to look a class above the rest in Division Three and will be looking forward to a tougher challenge next season, they lead by 3 points from Giroud Sandstorm after both teams had great nights in front of goal. Sandstorm won 12 - 0 against Barely Athletic thanks to hat-tricks from Sam Clarke and John Rook while Haidon Davies picked up 5 for Tekkers in their commanding 12 - 1 win over WhatDivock. The other game in the division was a much closer affair with Dyslexia getting the better of WLR Utd 2 - 1 to close the gap between them to just a point.
So an excellent night other than the No Show and a reminder to everyone that communication is key with your games. We must know if you can't make it, 7 days in advance to avoid being charged but even if it is on the day, we need to know so we at least have a chance of sorting a game for your opposition. Just not turning up is so unfair on everyone.
Big thanks to Mike, Jack, Nath and Mark for reffing the games again and good luck to everyone for next Mondays matches. The end of the season is in sight and whether you are pushing for a title of trying to avoid the drop there is always plenty to play for. Have a good week guys.
