It was a wet old night in Havant last night for round 6 of this new and exciting Leisure Leagues campaign. Credit to all the teams for embracing the elements and putting in a real shift for their teams.
There was plenty of drama and as always a bucket load of goals with Puff Puff Pass proving too strong on the night for Unais Fraund in the opening fixture. A hat-rick from skipper JH contributing to their 9 -1 win and securing their position at the top of the table. Unais Frauds will be looking to find some form next week but will face a tough game against PFR who caused a bit of an upset with a solid 4 - 1 win over last weeks form team Barely Legal. PFR climb out of the relegation zone while Barely Legal slip to 4th.
Wilfred Bony's Boys bounced back in style after a tough week last week and took the spoils in a tight game with Bombs to join them on 4 points. Dan Langley and Curtis Squire with the goals for the Bony's. Meanwhile, MK Dongs had too much for Dynamo Fekdarst running out 4 -1 winners to take 3rd place in the league. Dynamo stay 5th in what is a pretty tight division at this point.
In the final round of the night there was a welcome to the league to Cardiac Arrest who started with a points win but enjoyed a friendly game with Wilfred Bony's Boys (Thanks to them for hanging around to play a 2nd game). On the adjacent pitch we saw one of the best games of the season so far. In and end to end battle, where the lead changed hands more than once it was left to the last kick of the game for Warren Wanderers to seal a 4 - 3 win over a spirited Don't Go Nowhere. Jackson netted 3 for Warren and Ryan McAndrew was on target for Don't Go Nowhere who find themselves at the foot of the table. You have to think that they will quickly climb the table though after running 2nd placed Warren Wanderers so close this week.
Jackson's hat-rick takes him to 2nd in the golden boot race behind Brandon Miller with 6.
Thanks again to all the captains for getting their payments in early and to the Ref's on the night. Looking forward to next Monday already as we head to the last round of fixtures before the Christmas break.
We will be looking to expand this league in the new year so anyone who knows anyone who might be interested in adding a team just get them to get in touch with Rich on 07969731086 or just sign up here;
