MONDAY NIGHT 6 A SIDE ROUND UP FROM HAVANT

Another week of awesome 6 a side ticked off in Havant as our amazing set of teams adjusted to our new format and embraced the changes perfectly. Now running in 30 min time slots the games remained high paced and intense with everyone doing their side proud in terms of effort and determination. In the top flight we really need a few more teams to keep everyone playing competitive games, there are 4 weeks left of the season so if any teams are looking to get back involved or to start out on a Monday night 6 a side experience, now is a great time with an immediate start available. Test yourselves in the top flight and we can re asses ahead of next season.

Puff Puff Pass and Cardiac Arrest both took 5 - 0 wins away from this round of games and Westy produced a solid performance to win 5 - 0 against Emsworth Town.

Division One remains as competitive as ever, especially at the top end where we are building to quite a climax as OAP's and Kye Rovers both continue to win their games. Kye Rovers had goals from Jordan Evans, Ben Staples, Aaron Reynolds and Harry Sutton to thank for their 6 - 3 win over Smashers with Skipper Lee Dix netting along with 2 for Luke Payne for Smashers. Kye Rovers remain 2nd with just goal difference seperating themselves and league leaders OAP's who secured a strong 7 - 1 win this week on the back of 2 goals each from Dean Hewitt and Marc Lowe while Pat Needham, Tom Wray and Josh Houkes all chipped in for the title favourites. Ollie Cole scored a consolation goal for The Hurricanes who remain just outside the drop zone due to having a  better goal difference than Six Bells Vets Reserves. They but up a brave fight this week against fellow Vets, Six Bells in an inter club game that meant pride as much as points were up for grabs. 3rd places Six Bells kept their promotion hopes alive with the 9 - 3 win as Darren Walkley and Tommy Stevens both bagged hattricks. Darren Kelly also netted 3 for the Reserves but goals from Lee Bedden and Lloyd Legg ensured the points went to the 1st team this time. New side Fekirindarim kicked off their campaign with a 2 - 1 win over AFC Mole Hill thanks to 2 goals from captain Toby Appleby while Dan Bryant wason target for The Moles.

Bottle Jobs are almost promoted already and look set to lift the Division Two title as they now hold a 5 point lead over closest rivals Meat FC. The champions elect picked up another good 2 points last night with a tight 3 - 2 win over Lallana's in Pyjamas thanks to strikes from Lee Callaghan, Jordan Fisher and Christian Smith while Jay Walton and Tobie Appleby kept it interesting for Lallana's who remain 3rd despite the defeat. Meat FC lost geound on the leaders thanks to a good performance from Tekkerslovakia who's 5 - 2 win came thanks to a hattrick from Haidon Davies, backed up by goals from Taylor Ferre and Robbie Buckingham. There was a brilliant 2 - 2 draw between Wilian and Peter File who battled it out for mid table positions and both had to settle for a point with goals from Blake Osbourne and Drew McGill for The File's while Sam Clarke bagged both for Willian this week. It was a good night for Westleigh Rovers who took the points from their game with WhatDivock FC, Ron Wesley on target twice for Rovers along with good strikes from Russ Turner and Gary Davies to secure the 4 - 1 win. Calvin Turrell giving the WhatDivock fans something to cheer in reply.

So a great night of games, the reduced match fees and shorter game slots going down well it seems and certainly the level of skill on show wasn't effected so bring on next week and round 11 of games for this excellent group of teams. Keep doing what you are doing guys and huge thanks to Mike and the boys for running the games so well again.
