New Havant Monday 6 a side season gets underway!

The curtain has been raised on the Havant Monday Football League with a thrilling series of games to kick off the season. Teams across all divisions displayed superb skills and fierce competition as they clashed on the field.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, it was an evening of intense matches. Smashers made a remarkable statement with an 8-1 victory over reigning champions Meat FC, with Benn Neal of Smashers standing out as the top scorer with an impressive hat-trick. In other games Puff Puff Pass narrowly lose out to Misfits in a closely fought 3-2 game. Newly promoted Pol Gus also clinched a win against Space Stars FC, ending the game at 4-2.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, El Pork Pies made their presence felt with a commanding 12-1 victory over AFC Mole Hill. Meanwhile, Leigh Park United secured a 5-1 win against Saka Spuds, with Mason Carter scoring twice. Div 3 champions AJB FC started with a win in Div 2 as they defeated Rapid Decline 4-3 will Kanut Hit The Net FC began on a winning note as they look to bounce back to Div 1 with a 2-0 victory against Terrible Ballsy.

DIVISION THREE

Over in Division 3, the matches were equally as engaging. Meat Reserves lost to Man Tity, with a final score of 6-3. Last season's bottom side Barely Athletic had a great start to the season with a tight 1-0 win over Flamingo FC. There were two more close games in the division as 2 Goals 1 Cup defeated new team Clem Fandangoal FC 3-2 while the points were shared between Moleicester City and Giroud Sandstorm after a 1-1 draw.

The star of the week was, undoubtedly, Jamie Crowhurst from Kanut Hit The Net FC in Division 2. Crowhurst's masterful performance on the field earned him the title of the most valued player of the week, an accolade that sets the bar high for the coming weeks of the season.

As the Havant Monday Football League kicks off, the players have set a high standard for the rest of the season. The teams will continue to vie for the top spots in their respective divisions in the forthcoming weeks. We are eagerly waiting for what promises to be an exciting season.
