New Havant Monday 6 a side season gets underway!
In the thrilling world of football, the Havant Monday 6 a side league marked its season opener last night, witnessing an exceptional display of skill and passion across the three divisions.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Smokin Jokers kicked off the proceedings, battling to a 3-3 draw against Leigh Park United. The highlight of the match was Smokin Jokers' Mikey Davis, who emerged as the top scorer of the division with an impressive hat-trick. Meanwhile, Meat FC outplayed Smashers with a 4-2 victory, with a significant contribution from the standout player of the week, Mackenzie Moore. Puff Puff Pass also started their campaign on a high note, securing a clean 2-0 win over Misfits.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw The Rejects edge out AFC Mole Hill in a tight 2-1 contest. Freddie Mason, who netted the decisive goal for Rejects. El Pork Pies triumphed against Terrible Ballsy with a 3-1 victory while Rapid Decline narrowly defeated Flamingo FC 2-1.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Saka Spuds and 2 Goals 1 Cup offered us a thrilling 3-3 draw, with Jack Heselwood of 2 Goals 1 Cup, carrying the mantle of division's top scorer with three goals. New team AJB FC sealed a clean sheet win against Barely Athletic with a scoreline of 2-0. MoLeicester City and Giroud Sandstorm ended their encounter with a 2-2 draw. Meat Reserves couldn't resist the onslaught from Man Tity, conceding four goals without reply.
The season opener has set a promising tone for the league. The most valued player, Mackenzie Moore from Meat FC, has already left us anticipating more captivating performances in the upcoming matches. As the season unfolds, one can expect many more electrifying games and exceptional individual performances.
