So great to see our league full and to have every team there last night in far more bearable weather than the week before. Thank you to everyone for playing their part in making this league enjoyable for everyone.
We are now four weeks into the season and things are starting to take shape.
In the Prem, Champions Warren Wanderers remain top but made things hard for themselves by chucking away a 2 goal lead to trail 3 - 2 against West Lee Mack before reversing things again to claim the points 4 - 3 in what was a great spectacle of a game. West Lee Mack drop into the bottom 2 but showed great spirit and no lack of ability so we fully expect them to climb the league over the coming weeks.
Cardiac Arrest and LP Hit Squad both had their keepers to thank for coming away with a point, both stoppers in fine form throughout the match. O'Sullivan and Slape the only ones to get past them for their respective sides as the game ended 1 - 1
In hot pursuit of Warren Wanderers at the top of the league are Men Utd who bagged the points this week in a close 1 - 0 game with A3 Milan who proved just how close this league is, they sit bottom but have only conceded 2 goals in the last two weeks, they just need to find the net themselves and they will be up and running.
Barely Legal slip out of the top two following a defeat to Don't Go Nowhere who bounced back well from last week with a hat trick for Evans proving too enough to take the win this week.
Balotelitubbies fly to the top of the league after a dominating performance against Steaua Portsmouth who managed to get Ionut Duta on the score sheet but couldn't prevent the barrage of shots on their own goal. Woods netted 4 and Lewis 2 as the Tubbies smashed 9 and in doing so secured top spot.
The final prem game saw Puff Puff Pass edge past Wilfred Bony's Boys 2 -1. It could probably have been more had the Puff Puff's been more clinical in front of goal but they are making a habit of winning close games, a great habit to have in football.
Moving into Division One where there were significantly more goals and some absolutely cracking games.
Hot on their tails and only behind on goal difference are Brownie Boys who took part in the game of the season so far against MK Dongs, starting short of players the Brownie Boys slipped to 4 - 0 behind early on but produced an epic come back to win the game 8 - 7. Fantastic performance from both teams, Wareham scoring a hat trick for Brownie Boys while Smith and Lee netted 2 each. In reply, Captain Morgan was amongst the goals again, a hat trick for him for the 2nd week running.
Elsewhere Bilbao Baggins overcame PFR 5 - 3 with Owen Clark bagging 4 for The Baggins, while PFR had Britton to thank for all their goals, a hat trick for him not quite enough to keep up their unbeaten run.
We saw a debut game for our newest team to the league. Fiorentina Turner look like they have plenty to offer this division as they clicked straight into action with a 5 - 1 win over Unais Frauds, Hird amongst the goals for the new boys with two.
The final game saw Bombs up against Rapid Decline. This was a great game between two very evenly matched teams, Rapid Decline coming out on top this time with Ryan Compton's two goals the major feature for them. Only a point between these two in the table now as we conclude week 4 of this season.
As always, thanks to Mike, Tom, Nathan and Blair for making the night work so well, looking forward to see how this season develops.
Can Men Utd or Barely Legal topple Warren Wanderers at the top ? 1st plays 3rd next week, bring it on !
