Unfortunately we had the disappointment of a no show from Keith FC on Monday night at our Havant & Waterlooville 6 a side league. I've tried to make contact with the team but had no response or explanation so have had to remove them from the set up. We are very fortunate to have a number of teams waiting to join so an immediate replacement has been moved into their place in Division Two and we wish BARELY ATHLETIC well for the remainder of this campaign although it looks like they will be dropping to Division Two after next weeks final round of games.
Other than that it was another brilliant night of matches with the H&WFC stadium a buzz of excitement as usual. Westy's defeat to AW.FC and another win for Cardiac Arrest ends their title dreams for this season with Cardiac Retaining their title with a game to spare and a 4 point lead. Congrats to them on another near perfect season. The rejoining of A.W and former champions Don't Go Nowhere does make for an exciting Prem campaign next season, Westy have pushed hard this term and with those strong teams returning there will be real pressure on Cardiac when the new season starts in a few weeks.
PREMIER LEAGUE
AW.FC 3 - 2 Westy
Don't Go Nowhere 3 - 5 Cardiac Arrest
Puff Puff Pass 3 - 4 OAP's
Congrats to Ben Johnson who bagged another fine hattrick this week for Cardiac, he sit's joint 2nd in the golden boot race alongside Sam Hoolahan on 9 while team mate James Crane still leads with 11 for the season.
Division One could not be tighter with Kye Rovers firmly back in the hunt for the trophy. Their win over leaders Smashers last week was followed by another crucial win this week against Rapid Decline while Smashers could only manage a point against Hangover 96 leaving the two top teams locked together on 13 points and a dead level goal difference. Smashers play Rapid Decline next week and a better result than Kye Rovers manage against Meat FC will secure the title, current form has to make Kye Rovers favourites though, it literally couldn't be closer.
DIVISION ONE
Hangover 96 4 - 4 Smashers
Meat FC 2 - 1 Bottle Jobs
Rapid Decline 1 - 2 Kye Rovers
Jake Snook took a big step towards securing the golden boot for Div One this week with a brilliant hattrick to take him to 22 goals with Jordan Evans in 2nd place on 20. So much to play for in this division with just one game to go.
Bub Bub have sealed promotion from Division Two and a point next week will be enough to see them go up as champions, will new side Barely Athletic throw a spanner in the works for them? AFC Mole Hill are waiting to grab the trophy from their grasp if Bub Bub fail to win, another division going right to the wire in this amazing league in Havant.
DIVISION TWO
PCS Vets 1 - 6 Bub Bub FC
Keith FC 0 - 5 AFC Mole Hill (points win)
WLR Utd 0 - 1 The Hurricanes
Just to round off the excitement in Havant we also have an amazing title race in Division 3 with Westleigh Rovers level on points with Peter File X1 on 13 points. Westleigh were held in a great game this week by Tekkerslovakia who find themselves an outside shout for the trophy if results go their way next week. Realisticly though it's down to Westleigh to lose it, they have a significantly better goal difference over Peter File so any kind of win will see them take home the title.
DIVISION THREE
WhatDivock 1 - 10 Willian Your Mouth
Westleigh Rovers 3 - 3 Tekkerslovakia
Dyslexia FC 2 - 6 Peter File X1
So what a week of action and everything is set up perfectly for the final night of games next Monday. Remember we roll straight into the new season the following week so please make sure your players are all committed and ready to go again.
Big thanks to Mike and the team as always, I literally can't wait for next Monday night to see what unfolds in each division.
Good luck to everyone.
