Exeter Sunday 5 a side news - match day 2

The second week of the Exeter Sunday 5-a-side football league saw thrilling football in both the Premier League and Division 1. The teams left us on the edge of our seats showcasing their incredible skills and teamwork on the pitch.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, the match between PD and Scorinbread United was a one-sided affair, as Scorinbread United's Daniel Fricker led his team to a dominating victory of 14-3, scoring an impressive 8 goals. Fricker's performance earned him the title of the week's top scorer in the Premier League. In another high-scoring match, Stella Fellas FC edged out Smeg United 7-5, showcasing their offensive prowess. The match between Whipton BBQ Kebab House CF and Tig Bitty Goth Girls saw the latter winning with a solid 7-2 victory.

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 was equally exciting, with some nail-biting matches, the match between Steau Needarest and Leave My Arcelona FC was a high-scoring thriller, with Leave My Arcelona FC securing a 6-5 victory, thanks to Heston Hocking's hat trick. Hocking's stellar performance made him the top scorer of Division 1. Dusty Ballers managed to hold off Stanno's Claret & Blue Army with a 5-4 win. Robbenyourkids FC emerged victorious against Bumblebais with a 9-5 scoreline.

The Most Valued Player of the week was awarded to Josh Bradley from Tig Bitty Goth Girls. His outstanding performance greatly contributed to his team's victory in the Premier League, setting a high standard for the rest of the season.

This week's matches have set the bar high for the rest of the season. We are eagerly awaiting the next set of fixtures to see how the table shapes up. The teams will be looking to bring their A-game to secure crucial points in the upcoming weeks.
