Exeter Sunday 5 a side news - match day 4

In an exciting week of the Exeter Sunday 5-a-side Football League, teams across two divisions battled it out in a series of thrilling encounters despite the weather. The Premier League and Division 1 saw some high-scoring matches that kept us on the edge of our seats.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, the top of the table match between Receding FC and Steau Needarest ended in a 3-3 draw, demonstrating the competitive spirit of the teams and their determination to clinch the title. In another high-scoring affair, Smeg United emerged victorious over Pinhoe Dome Raiders with an 8-4 win. The star of the night was undoubtedly Kobe Farley of Smeg United who netted 3 goals, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division. Farley's outstanding performance also earned him the honour of being named the most valued player of the week.

DIVISION ONE

Switching gears to Division 1, Tig Bitty Goth Girls put on an impressive display to defeat Oldham Pathetic FC 11-5. Meanwhile, Whipton BBQ Kebab House CF managed to get ahead of Queens Park Strangers, winning the match 6-4. Lucio Gablinger from Whipton BBQ Kebab House CF shared the limelight for the evening, scoring a remarkable total of 3 goals, the highest in Division 1 this week.

As we continue through the season, these teams are showing that every match counts. The high-scoring games and individual performances are a testament to the level of competition in the Exeter Sunday Football League. With such an exciting week behind us, the anticipation for the upcoming matches is building, promising more action-packed football. Stay tuned for next week's results and top performances.
