The Exeter Sunday 5-a-side Football League entered its thrilling eighth week last night, with teams in the Premier League and Division 1 levels battling fiercely on the pitch.

In the Premier League, we bore witness to some intense matches. Scorinbread United emerged victorious against Receding FC with a score of 4-2. Meanwhile, Steau Needarest demonstrated their dominance by beating Whipton BBQ Kebab House CF with an impressive 6-2 victory. The spotlight of the division, however, was on Smeg United who triumphed over Dusty Ballers in a high-scoring match, finishing 8-3.

DIVISION ONE

The competition was equally intense in Division 1. PD put on an impressive scoring display against Stella Fellas FC, winning the match 17-9. Meanwhile, in a closely contested game, Victor Moses Lawn were edged out by Davies House with a scoreline of 10-8. Shay Corrick of PD stood out as the top scorer in Division 1, scoring a total of 8 goals.

The most valued player of the week across all divisions was Ciaran Brennan of Steau Needarest. His exceptional performance was a key factor in their triumphant win and is widely being recognised.
