First time the 2 top teams could be separated

It was a very high scoring week here at Heavitree social club 5 a side league and also chucked in a very big scare for the Denny Ali's. It was a very brave performance from Oldham Pathetic who found themselves 4-1 up at half time against the league leaders, the match up continued to be close however it was the winning mentality of the Ali's that saw them get over the line with a 9-8 victory. In a post match interview captain Deano had this to say, " I was going nuts at the lads as they were not giving their all, at one point one of our players was playing in a hoodie which did annoy me". The nights other game saw Inter Yanan overcome Monster Villa in another high scoring fixture and finally ran out 11-7 winners. This game was a credit to the league with both sides showing what small sided football is all about. 

Stroke Titty were away on the international break this week but will now have their players fully rested and ready for action next Sunday to keep the pressure on the top spot.
