New Exeter Sunday 5 a side season kicks off!

The first week of the Exeter Sunday League was a spectacle of joy and drama as local football teams battled on the pitch in the Premier League and Division 1 categories. This highly anticipated season has just kicked off, and the heat is already high.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Steau Needarest stomped their authority with an 11-2 victory over newly promoted Inter Ya Nan. Their star player Conor Bickle showed a thrilling performance by netting a whopping seven goals, taking the lead as the division's top scorer for the week. An incredible performance by Receding FC saw them defeat Oldham Pathetic FC 13-1, while another newly promoted side Pinhoe Dome Raiders came out on top against Scorinbread United with a 7-5 win.
DIVISION ONE
Switching over to Division 1, Sidmouth Slugs emerged victorious against The Elite with an 11-7 win. The Slugs' star player Freddie Cotton was the most impressive, delivering a commanding performance that earned him the prestigious "Most Valued Player" of the week. The Dusty Ballers also showcased an impeccable performance by defeating Relegation Rovers 12-0, with Lucio Gablinger being their standout player, scoring six goals. New team STD FC also marked their presence with a 4-2 victory over Smeg United, starting the season on a positive note.
As the thrilling start of the Exeter Sunday League has set the tone, all eyes are now on the upcoming fixture list. The teams are expected to bring their A-game to maintain their winning momentum or stage a dramatic comeback. We can't wait to see how the league unfolds and if the top scorers Conor Bickle and Lucio Gablinger can maintain their fantastic form and continue to find the back of the net.
