New Exeter Sunday 5 a side season kicks off!

The Exeter Sunday 5-a-side football league season kicked off last night with thrilling encounters in the Premier League and Division 1. The matches provided some incredible performances and goals, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting season.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Smeg United had an impressive start, defeating Scorinbread United 9-2. A remarkable performance from Lucas Clow led Smeg United to victory, as he scored a total of four goals, making him the top scorer in the Premier League for the opening week.

Another high scoring game in the Premier League was between Stella Fellas FC and Tig Bitty Goth Girls, the latter claiming a 12-2 victory, affirming their standing as a team to watch this season.

DIVISION ONE

On to Division 1, a thrilling encounter between Steau Needarest and Dusty Ballers saw the Dusty Ballers emerge victorious with a 4-2 win. However, the match of the night was between Robbenyourkids FC and Stanno's Claret & Blue Army. Robbenyourkids FC secured an astounding 17-3 victory, largely due to the exceptional skills of Seb Roche, who netted six goals, making him the top scorer in Division 1 for the week.

Leave My Arcelona FC also started their season on a high note with a convincing 12-6 victory over Bumblebais. The star of the match and the player earning the accolade of the Most Valued Player of the week was Harry England. His stellar performance played a pivotal role in Leave My Arcelona FC's opening week triumph.

These opening matches provided an enthralling start to the Exeter Sunday league, with teams and players showcasing their skills and competitive spirit. As the season progresses, we can look forward to more such exciting encounters and individual brilliance.
