Chatham Monday 5 a side Christmas round up!

We were back in action at our Chatham Monday 5 a side league last night after snow forced us to cancel last week. Thankfully the snow had melted away and we were able to fit in one more round of games before our two week Christmas break.

There was no change at the top of the Premier League table as AC Me Rollin put in a strong performance to defeat Cantium 5s 8-2 to stay a point clear at the top. Cats On Tour came through a tough match against Pheasant Pluckers to win 4-3, captain Jack Yeowell scoring a brace. Mush Men remain in third and just three points adrift of the leaders after a 4-2 win away at new team Murder On Zidane's Floor.

Premier League bound Ji Sung Park The Bus stay on course for a perfect season as they made it 8 wins on the bounce, beating Scottswood 9-4, captain Kane Andrews registering a hat-trick. Josh Jackson scored 5 for Bligh A Side who are also on their way to the top flight, winning 10-1 against Mac's last night. The top two will be a welcome addition to the Prem next season. In the other game Beercelona picked up a 5-0 win with Dirt Washers away this week.

Skinners all but sealed the Div 2 title with a 6-0 away win at Workrate FC, Andrew Skinner getting himself on the scoresheet four times. Woodbleak rose back up into the top two as they impressed the home fans with a 6-1 win over MrsBrandtsBoy's. Last but definitely not least the game of the night came between Old Willies and Get Your Scally Out who served up a real Christmas cracker, both sides attacking from start to finish to produce 22 goals, amazingly the match ending in an 11-11 draw.

Big thank you to Ash for running the night and to our referee's including our trainee ref Alfie who reffed his first games last night. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone, we are back on the 9th January for match day 9. Thanks Rich
