Chatham Monday 5 a side news
We were treated to thrilling action in week 11 of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football league, with a flurry of goals and impressive performances across all three divisions.
DIVISION 1
In Division 1, spectators were treated to exciting matches with Nigel Bens XI showing their class in an 8 - 5 victory over Beercelona. The encounter between Borstal Bums and Bligh A Side was equally expansive as Bligh A Side edged out their rivals 8 - 5. Meanwhile, Cadiz Nuts CF outplayed Pheasant Pluckers, emerging victorious with a 6 - 4 scoreline. However, the big surprise of the night was the Holcombe Goons who overcame Young Boys CF with a 6 - 3 win. Joe Martineau, Borstal Bums' star player, was the top scorer in Division 1, finding the back of the net twice.
DIVISION 2
On to Division 2, Cokane United set the pace with a commanding 4 - 1 victory over Workrate FC. Unathletico Madrid also displayed their prowess with a 4 - 1 win over Selecao. In the most thrilling match of the division, Gayson Mount triumphed 7 - 2 against Mac's 3.0. James Becconsall of Mac's 3.0, despite the loss, turned heads with his impressive hat-trick.
DIVISION 3
Finally, in Division 3, Maroon 5 posted a 4 - 1 win over G Čech FC, and Tekkerslovakia Fc recorded the highest score of the night, thumping Get Your Scally Out FC 14 - 6. The match between Club Tropicana Drinks FC and Arselona was closely contested, with Arselona edging out their rivals 4 - 3. Emmanuel of Tekkerslovakia fc stole the spotlight with his 5-goal haul, making him the top scorer of Division 3.
Week 11 of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side league was undoubtedly a spectacle for the fans, with talented players showcasing their skills and teams battling for supremacy. We look forward to more exciting action in the coming weeks.
