In a thrilling sequence of matches in the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League, week 3 saw goals aplenty, skillful manoeuvres and admirable team efforts that had us on our feet.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Pheasant Pluckers emerged victorious, netting seven goals against Beercelona's four. Brandon Ball of Pheasant Pluckers was the standout player, scoring a whopping five goals, leading his team to victory. Bligh A Side triumphed over Cadiz Nuts CF with a scoreline of 6-4, while leaders Borstal Bums showed their mettle with a decisive 7-1 win over Young Boys CF. In a closely fought contest, Nigel Bens XI just edged Holcombe Goons 5-4.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 witnessed the highest scoring game of the week with Mac's 3.0 recording a 13-4 win over Selecao. Scott Fleming was the star of the match, netting four goals for his team. Cokane United and Skinners FC played a thrilling draw, both scoring five goals each. Scottswood took down Unathletico Madrid 5-1 to go to the top of the table while Workrate FC dominated Gayson Mount with an impressive 11-2 victory.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Get Your Scally Out FC put on a finishing masterclass against Snus Warriors, winning 11-1, with Sam Lovey making a significant contribution with a hat-trick. Club Tropicana Drinks FC edged Barely Athletic 4-3 in a nail-biting match. The duel between Tekkerslovakia FC and G Čech FC saw the latter win 6-3 while leaders Maroon 5 triumphed over Arselona with a scoreline of 6-4.
This week of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League surely set an exciting precedent for the upcoming matches. From spectacular individual performances to exciting team performances, the league continues to deliver top-class football.
