Chatham Monday 5 a side news - match day 4

Stakes were high and spirits soared at the Chatham Monday 5-a-side football league this week. The energy was palpable as teams, in the fourth week of competition, battled it out in divisions 1, 2, and 3.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, there was a thrilling game with Nigel Bens XI and Bligh A Side ending in a tense 3-3 draw. Cadiz Nuts CF were unable to halt Borstal Bums, who ran away with an 8-3 victory to remain top of the table. Beercelona showed their might against Holcombe Goons with a 7-4 win while the Pheasant Pluckers managed to outfox Young Boys CF 5-3. No doubt, the star of Division 1 was Chris Sontag of Beercelona, who netted an impressive total of 3 goals.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 saw its share of action as well. Workrate FC narrowly missed out to Unathletico Madrid, finishing 4-3. Selecao dominated Gayson Mount with an 8-2 triumph while Scottswood and Cokane United ended in 3-3 stalemate. Mac's 3.0 proved too strong for Skinners FC, cruising to a 7-1 win. Nathan Daniels of Mac's 3.0 stole the show in this division, scoring a hat-trick.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, Get Your Scally Out FC scored a decisive 9-5 victory over Arselona. Barely Athletic put up a fight but were edged out by G Čech FC 4-3. Maroon 5 had a tough day on the pitch, losing 8-4 to Tekkerslovakia FC. Club Tropicana Drinks FC fell short against Snus Warriors, losing 6-2. The top scorer in this division was the dynamic Tyler Jackson of Arselona, who found the net 4 times.

It was truly a thrilling week in the Chatham Monday 5-a-side league. The teams are undoubtedly preparing eagerly for the next week's fixtures, promising another round of exciting football.
