Chatham Monday 5 a side news - match day 5

In the gripping world of local football, the Chatham Monday league saw an action-packed Week 5 unfold last night across all three divisions.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, a thrilling showdown between Bligh A Side and leaders Borstal Bums finished in a 4-4 draw. Elsewhere, Pheasant Pluckers put on an impressive display, dominating Cadiz Nuts CF in a 9-3 victory to move to with a point of Bums. Young Boys CF edged a narrow victory over Holcombe Goons in a tightly contested match, ending 3-2 as they climbed out of the bottom two. The standout performer in Division 1 was Brandon Ball of Pheasant Pluckers, who netted six goals, setting a high standard for his fellow competitors.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, Mac's 3.0 clinched a narrow victory over Gayson Mount, with a final score of 6 - 5. Unathletico Madrid secured a solid win against Selecao, with a final scoreline of 5 - 3. Cokane United triumphed over Workrate FC, with a decisive 5 - 1 victory while Scottswood overcame Skinners FC in a ten-goal thriller, finishing 6 - 4. Efe Edosio, representing Mac's 3.0, claimed the top scorer spot in Division 2, netting an impressive four goals.

DIVISION THREE  

In the third division, Arselona outmatched Club Tropicana Drinks FC, securing a 5 - 2 victory. Tekkerslovakia FC showed their offensive prowess against Get Your Scally Out FC, winning the match 8 - 4. Leaders G Čech FC edged out a high scoring match against Maroon 5, finishing 8 - 6 to extend their lead at the top to 3 points. Barely Athletic fell short against Snus Warriors in a 5 - 4 thriller. The star player in this division was Tyler Jackson of Arselona, with a stunning five goals to his name.

Week 5 of the Chatham Monday league certainly delivered on excitement with some great games throughout the divisions.
