Chatham Monday 5 a side news - match day 6
Week 6 of the Chatham Monday 5 a side Football League left us rousing with excitement as teams across three divisions locked horn in a display of thrilling football.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the Pheasant Pluckers overcame the Borstal Bums in an 8-goal thriller, ending the match 5-3 to rise to the top of the table. Bligh A Side managed to edge out Beercelona with a 7-5 victory to go second on goal difference while Young Boys CF and Nigel Bens XI balanced the scales with a 3-3 draw. Cadiz Nuts CF couldn't withstand the power of Holcombe Goons, who secured a 5-2 win. Holcombe Goons' striker, Jimmy Reeves, was the standout performer, netting a hat-trick to become the top scorer in Division 1 this week.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw Mac's 3.0 triumph over Scottswood, clinching an 8-5 win, thanks to the exceptional performance of Efe Edosio, who scored twice to send them top. Skinners FC dominated Workrate FC with a 4-0 victory while Selecao and Cokane United settled for a 3-3 draw. Ending the matches for Division 2, Unathletico Madrid defeated Gayson Mount with a 7-1 win.
DIVISION THREE
The action in Division 3 was no less intense. G Čech FC defeated Get Your Scally Out FC with a 7-2 victory while Arselona handed a 6-2 defeat to the Snus Warriors. Tekkerslovakia FC beat Club Tropicana Drinks FC 6-3, thanks to Manuel's impressive four-goal haul. Barely Athletic managed a 4-2 victory over Maroon 5 to end the week's matches.
This week's games were a testament to the competitive spirit and high level of skill within the Chatham Monday 5 a side Football League. We eagerly await next week's fixtures, anticipating more of the outstanding performances that this season has so far delivered.
