Chatham Monday 5 a side news - match day 9

We experienced another thrilling week of action as the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League entered its ninth week. The teams engaged in fierce battles across Divisions 1, 2, and 3, resulting in some impressive and unpredictable results.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Borstal Bums dominated the field with a 7-1 victory over Beercelona. The highlight of the match was Noah Stevens' spectacular hat-trick, which confirmed his spot as this week's top scorer in the division. Young Boys CF also showcased their prowess, defeating Cadiz Nuts CF 5-2. Bligh A Side and Pheasant Pluckers followed suit with respective wins over Holcombe Goons and Nigel Bens XI.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 was no less exciting. Mac's 3.0 wiped out Cokane United 7-1, while an evenly matched game between Unathletico Madrid and Skinners FC resulted in a 5-5 draw. The standout team in the division was Selecao, who secured a hard-fought 7-5 win over Workrate FC, thanks to a dazzling performance from Jagdip Dhandaal, who netted four goals to become the top scorer for the division. The other game saw Scottswood and Gayson Mount play out a 0-0 draw.

DIVISION THREE

The drama continued in Division 3, with Tekkerslovakia FC defeating Barely Athletic 4-1, and Get Your Scally Out FC triumphing over Club Tropicana Drinks FC 4-1. The nail-biting match between Arselona and G Čech FC ended in a narrow 5-4 victory for G Čech FC. Despite the loss, Arselona's Tyler Jackson managed to score four goals, earning him the title of top scorer in Division 3. Maroon 5 sealed an impressive 3-0 win away at Snus Warriors.

As we approach the business end of the season, all teams remain focused on securing their positions at the top of their respective divisions. With the stakes ever increasing, the next weeks promise to deliver even more excitement and fantastic football.
