Chatham Monday 5 a side news | WEEK 9

In a thrilling week 9 of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League, teams across three divisions demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and skill, resulting in some exhilarating matches.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Unathletico Madrid fell short against Borstal Bums in a closely contested match ending in a 2-1 scoreline. Cadiz Nuts CF, despite a valiant effort, were narrowly defeated by Bligh A Side 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller. The highlight of the division was the spectacular performance by Holcombe Goons who clinched a decisive 6-2 victory over Pheasant Pluckers. Jimmy Reeves of Holcombe Goons had an exceptional game, marking his name at the top of Division 1's scoring chart with a total of 3 goals.

DIVISION TWO
The excitement was mirrored in Division 2, where Cokane United emerged victorious against Workrate FC with a score of 8-4. Gylfie Pleasures V2 secured a comfortable win over Beercelona, ending the game at 4-1. In a high-scoring match, Nigel Bens XI were outdone by Get Your Scally Out FC in a 7-4 contest. Gylfie Pleasures V2's Jake Carroll led the Division 2 scoring chart with a commendable hat-trick.

DIVISION THREE
Over in Division 3, Gayson Mount and Barely Athletic played to a draw in a tightly fought 2-2 match, showcasing the competitive spirit of the league. Twin City FC triumphed over Moretti with a 6-3 victory, while Club Tropicana Drinks FC and Lallanas In Pyjamas produced the highest scoring game of the evening, which ended 11-9 in favor of Lallanas In Pyjamas. Gayson Mount's Ben Pilcher topped the Division 3 scoring chart with one goal to his name.

As we move into week 10, the players and fans are looking forward to more exciting matches and top-quality football.
