Chatham Thursday 5 a side end of season

In an exciting wrap-up of the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league, the final results of Division 1 were announced last night. It was a thrilling showdown in the tenth and decisive week of the league, with teams battling it out.

DIVISION ONE  

The highlight of the night was the exhilarating game between Rice Spice and Radar Raiders, which ended in a thrilling 5-5 draw. Nevertheless, it was the 'Romanians Everywhere' team that stole the spotlight. Their resounding victory of 8-4 over Medway 57 who did give them a good test ensured their lead in the division with an impressive total of 20 points and 10 wins, crowning them as the champions of Division 1.

The top scorer of Division 1 was Stefan Floroiu from the winning team, Romanians Everywhere, who significantly contributed to the team's success with a total of three goals. His performance was a pivotal factor in leading the Romanians to their championship with 38 goals this season.

However, the most valued player of the week was Joshua Taaffe from Rice Spice. Taaffe stood out with his exceptional skills and gameplay, earning him the well-deserved recognition. Congratulations to our Player of The Season Tony Ellis of Medway 57 who picked up 3 MVP awards this season.

As the season closes, the Chatham Thursday league left us with an unforgettable spectacle of sportsmanship, teamwork, and thrilling competition. Congratulations to Romanians Everywhere for their triumphant victory in Division 1 and to all the teams for their commendable performances. We eagerly await the next season! The Romanians are bowing out for next season as champions with a 100% record, so who will be the new champions next season?
