The excitement was palpable last night in Week 5 of the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football League, with Division 1 delivering a fetching spectacle. We were treated to some thrilling games, with teams showcasing their mettle and skill on the pitch.

DIVISION ONE

The evening's fixture kicked off with a fiercely fought battle between Radar Raiders and GET BACK SHADRAK that ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Both teams showed some impressive attacking football, leaving us on the edge of our seats throughout the game.

Next, we witnessed a dominant performance by leaders Romanians Everywhere who triumphed over Medway 57 with a 9-2 victory. The team put on a stylish display, their precise passes and impressive goal-scoring ability proved too much for Medway 57 to handle.

In the final game of the night, Perrys exhibited their championship pedigree, securing a resounding 7-1 victory over Weedswood Warriors. The Warriors fought bravely but were ultimately overwhelmed by the relentless offensive onslaught by Perrys as they picked up their first win of the season.

The star of the night was undoubtedly David Hall of Perrys, who proved to be a prodigious goal-scoring machine. Hall netted a total of six goals, earning him the esteemed accolade of the top scorer in Division 1 for the week. His phenomenal performance was a testament to his talent and undoubtedly played a pivotal role in Perrys’ significant victory.

As we look forward to Week 6, the teams will undoubtedly be seeking to build on their performances, with the aim of climbing the Division 1 table. The intensity and competitiveness shown thus far promise an exciting and unpredictable league season ahead. Stay tuned for more breath-taking football next Thursday!
