Chatham Thursday 5 a side news - match day 8

In the heart of the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side football league, the drama was heightened in the eighth week as teams battled it out on the pitch. The top teams of Division 1 showcased their skills in an adrenaline-pumped night of football.

DIVISION ONE

In an electrifying match, Mac 4 team dominated their game against new boys YCKB FC with a noteworthy 5-1 victory. The high-scoring game saw the Mac 4 players showcasing their brilliant touches and strategic game plan. In contrast, YCKB FC were unable to match the fire and zeal of their opponents, resulting in an unfortunate loss. There's plenty of games to bounce back in over the coming weeks though for YCKB.

Another new team, The Riverside team faced a challenging match against Medway 57, which resulted in a 11-4 defeat. Despite the Riverside team's tenacity and determination, Medway 57 proved to be the stronger contender. Their ruthlessness in front of the goal was the defining factor in their victory.

In a closely contested top of the table showdown, Radar Raiders fell short against Perrys with a 5-4 scoreline. Perrys showed their resilience, turning the tide of the match in their favour securing a hard-fought victory to leapfrog Raiders and go top.

And in a high scoring game of the night, Rice Spice outclassed Paqueta Quavers with an impressive 13-6 win, demonstrating their attacking prowess and lethal finishing.

As we move on to the ninth week, the teams are looking to up their game and solidify their standings in the division. While the victories and losses of this week have shaken up the table, the season is still far from over. With the quality of football on display, we can look forward to more thrilling encounters in the weeks to come.
