Chatham Thursday 5 a side news | WEEK 2

The second week of the Chatham Thursday Football League brought exhilarating competition, high-scoring matches, and stand-out performances under the floodlights. The league, divided into Division 1 and Division 2, saw participating teams fight tooth and nail for the much-coveted victories.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Rochester Fc triumphed over Rice Spice in a high-scoring match, ending with a scoreline of 8-5. Meanwhile, Net6 N Chill narrowly edged out Mac 4 with a score of 5-4. The star performer of the division was undoubtedly Charlie from Net6 N Chill, who clocked in an impressive 5 goals, securing the top scorer's spot for the week.

DIVISION TWO
Moving onto Division 2, Double Pogba and Koke recorded a resounding victory against Perrys, with a crushing 9-0 score. Bendher Rovers Fc also emerged victorious, defeating Weedwooders 9-2. Saka Potatoes and Elysium played a closely contested match, with Elysium squeezing a win by just one goal, ending the match at 7-6.

Harry Hutchins from Saka Potatoes emerged as the top scorer for Division 2, netting an impressive total of 4 goals. His performance, though not enough to clinch victory for his team, surely did not go unnoticed.

However, the standout performer of the week hailed from Bendher Rovers Fc. Ben Hall, with his remarkable display of skill and endurance, was named the most valued player of the week. Hall’s performance was instrumental in his team's comprehensive victory, making him a deserving recipient of the recognition.
