NEW CHATHAM THURSDAY 5 A SIDE LEAGUE GETS UNDERWAY!
The Chatham Thursday 5 a side Football League commenced its first ever season last night, powering through an adrenaline-fueled evening, as we eagerly awaited the results. Teams battled it out on the field in a spectacular display of football prowess.
DIVISION ONE
Weedswood Warriors faced off against GET BACK SHADRAK in what promised to be one of the evening’s most engaging matches. However, GET BACK SHADRAK dominated the game, securing a remarkable 13-4 victory over the Warriors. The sterling performance of Callum Ward who scored an impressive total of 8 goals, played an instrumental role in driving the team's triumph. This feat elevated Ward to the position of the top scorer in Division 1 for the week, setting the bar high for the weeks to come.
In another riveting game, Radar Raiders locked horns with Medway 57. This match was a closer encounter with the Raiders narrowly edging out their rivals with a 7-5 win.
With the season having just kicked off, the teams are brimming with energy and the competition is already heating up. All eyes are now on the top scorers and the potential twists and turns the season might bring.
These initial results have set the tone for the rest of the season, hinting at the thrilling matches and impressive individual performances yet to come. As we head into week 2, players will undoubtedly be pushing their boundaries, aiming for excellence on the pitch and striving to lead their teams to victory.
