The inaugural week of the highly anticipated Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league got off to an electrifying start last night, setting the tone for a thrilling season ahead.
DIVISION ONE
In the Division 1 games, we witnessed an impressive display of talent and team spirit. The evening was filled with power-packed performances, highlighting the exceptional prowess of the players.
The ground was set ablaze by Girth On Turf who displayed a fantastic performance against The Bells Boys, ending the game with an extraordinary 8-4 score. Girth On Turf's most valued player, Reece Heasman, stole the show with his relentless efforts in the pitch.
In another match, Perrys emerged victorious with a 6-3 win over Rice Spice, thanks to their top scorer David Hall, who took the game by storm, scoring a total of 4 goals. His commendable performance made him the standout player in the division.
Radar Raiders also began their season with a bang, achieving a hard-fought 6-4 victory against Medway 57, adding to the evening's full-throttle action.
This first week of the season has set the bar high, with Division 1 players like Reece Heasman and David Hall already setting the pace. The energy, spirit, and determination showcased in the inaugural matches have geared up the excitement for the forthcoming games. If the first week of the Chatham Thursday Football League is anything to go by, we can look forward to a thrilling season of football ahead.
