Horncastle Monday 6-a-side: Revealing our champions!

Another enthralling season of the Horncastle Monday 6-a-side league came to an end this week at the Playing Fields, with a neck-and-neck title race wrapping up in style. 

Ginger Gaffer FC successfully defended their title in a contest that went right to the end, following a stellar campaign for them. They sealed it with a 4-1 win over Beercelona thanks to a Charlie Stapleton brace, and solitary goals from Arthur Graves and Ollie Cranfield. 

Their main contenders Moves Like Agger also ended with a win, level on points, but lost out to Ginger Gaffer because of the latter's vastly superior goal difference. The runners-up dispatched 6 Defenders 4-0, with goals from Cavan Campbell, Jamie Johnson, Harry Mackenzie and Ben Waller. A great season for them regardless, as they will look to push for the title even more next campaign. 

Jota Than Hell also closed the curtains on the season with a 4-1 win against Werder Beerman, as Real Social Dads beat Perak 3-1 to conclude their campaign. 

Hardly Athletic signed off on a high after a largely forgettable season, winning 1-0 against WAA.
