BORUSSIA TEETH CHAMPIONS OF PORTSMOUTH

BORUSSIA TEETH CHAMPIONS & CROSSHILL WIN DIVISION 2

In the thrilling final week of the Portsmouth Wednesday 6 a side Football league, both Division 1 and Division 2 saw their share of intense, edge-of-your-seat action.

In Division 1, AFC KARKEY and UTG United delivered a sensational match, ending with a 6-6 draw. The highlight was undoubtedly the performance by Harley Weekes of AFC KARKEY, who netted 3 goals, making him the top scorer of the division. However, it was Borussia Teeth who emerged as the winners of Division 1, with an impressive total of 18 points from 9 wins.

Division 2 was equally riveting, with Crosshill FC overwhelming Pompey United with a 8-3 victory. The spotlight was on Charlie Clark of Crosshill FC, who blitzed the game by scoring a whopping 7 goals, making him the Division's top scorer. This victory cemented Crosshill FC's position as the Division 2 champions, with a total of 17 points from 8 wins. Crosshill FC's Dan Thornton had double reason to celebrate as he was named the seasons MVP having picked up 4 MotM awards from the officials over the course of the season. A brilliant effort from Dan. Team mate Charlie Clark cruised to the golden boot with an outrageous 45 goals for his team while Matt Blakey claimed the top scorer spot in Division One with 14 goals to his name. Well done to both of these sharp shooters!

Amidst the electrifying performances, the standout player of the final  week was Chris Blake from Tesco Finest FC. Despite his team's 1-1 draw with Makeshift FC, Blake's performance stood out, earning him the title of "Most Valued Player" for the week.

In conclusion, the final week of the Portsmouth Wednesday 6 a side Football League was a spectacle of sheer sporting prowess and strategic gameplay. Congratulations to the winners, Borussia Teeth and Crosshill FC, for their impressive performances and for taking home the championship titles for Division 1 and Division 2 respectively.
