New Portsmouth Wednesday 6 a side season kicks off!

The highly anticipated Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side Football league kicked off last night, promising a thrilling season of high-octane football. The competitive spirit was palpable as teams from two divisions took to the field, battling it out in fierce encounters filled with unexpected twists and turns.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, VAFC took on AFC KARKEY, ultimately emerging victorious with a final score of 4-2. Borussia Teeth defeated TTs Troops with an impressive 10-3 win. The fiercest match of the evening was between Tesco Finest FC and Jalapeno Hotties, with Jalapeno Hotties eking out a narrow 5-4 victory.

The star player in Division 1 was none other than Matt Blakey from Borussia Teeth, who bagged an impressive total of 4 goals, setting a high bar for the rest of the season.

DIVISION TWO

Over in Division 2, 2 Girls 1 Klopp clinched a 4-1 victory against Six Sexy Soldiers, while Man Tity defeated Ball Fondlers 4-2. Meanwhile, Crosshill FC were unable to resist the might of BCL FC, losing 5-2.

Samuel Gisby from Man Tity emerged as the top scorer in Division 2 for the week, netting a commendable 3 goals.

The league also recognised Dylan Conran from 2 Girls 1 Klopp as the Most Valued Player this week, a testament to Conran's remarkable performance on the field.

The season has just begun, and if the first week’s action is anything to go by, we are in for a treat. Here's to a thrilling season of the Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side Football League!
