Portsmouth Wednesday 6 a side end of season!

In an electrifying conclusion to the Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side Football League, the final week of the season saw exhilarating victories and astounding individual performances in both Division 1 and Division 2.

DIVISION ONE

The Division 1 fixtures were a testament to the spirit of the teams, with VAFC and Man Tity exhibiting their dominance. Man Tity showcased a solid performance with a 3-0 triumph over Crosshill FC. Meanwhile, in a nail-biting game, VAFC emerged victorious over TTs Troops with a 3-2 win. VAFC's determined play throughout the season rewarded them with the Division 1 title, accumulating an impressive total of 26 points and 12 wins.

Congratulations to VAFC on lifting the title and also well done to Josh Kirk on winning the Golden Boot award with 34 goals this season, he was also crowned Player Of The Season, top effort!

DIVISION TWO

Similarly, Division 2 witnessed high-intensity action with BCL FC securing a win against 2 Girls 1 Klopp with a 4-2 scoreline. However, the highlight of the night was Borussia Teeth's 8-2 win of Jalapeno Hotties to show why they have been a class above in Div 2 this season. This victory crowned Borussia Teeth as the champions of Division 2, earning them a total of 12 points from 6 wins and a 100% record. Bigger tests to come next season in the top flight. It's no surprise to see one of their biggest threats be crowned as the Golden Boot winner in Div 2, well done to Matt Blakey with 20 goals this season including 5 last night!

The Portsmouth Wednesday League ended on a high note, providing riveting football and setting the stage for another thrilling season. Congratulations to the winners and all the teams for their sportsmanship and effort.

Also not to forget a big thank you to Mike for running the evening most weeks with Nathan stepping in to cover when needed. Thank you to Nath and Brad for reffing most weeks and also to Bob and Jack for covering. Finally thank you to all our captains and players, good luck next season!
