The eighth week of the vibrant Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side Football league brought its share of thrills and spills as the teams of Division 1 displayed their athletic prowess and strategic mastery.

DIVISION ONE

In an exhilarating night of football, AFC KARKEY clashed with VAFC in a exciting encounter. Both teams displayed brilliant offensive and defensive strategies as leaders VAFC found the edge to win 10-4. A similar energy was witnessed in the match between Barely Athletic FC and Unknown as second place Unknown ran out 6-1 winners.

Crosshill FC faced Six Sexy Soldiers in a one sided affair as Crosshill cruised to a 14-1 win, Charlie Clark hitting 6 goals in the match as Crosshill bounced back from a heavy loss themselves last week!

Despite the fierce competition, the matches were played in the true spirit of sport, reflecting the sportsmanship and camaraderie inherent in the game. We also saw 4 teams from the waiting list come along to the league for friendly games against each other.

The Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side Football league continues to be a testament to the love for football in the community, bringing players together in a shared passion for the sport.
