Portsmouth Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 9

In the thrilling midweek football, Portsmouth Wednesday's 6-a-side League delivered a series of stunning matches, keeping us on the edge of our seats. Week 9 of the season was nothing short of spectacular, marked by a flurry of goals and outstanding individual performances as we started our new Div 2.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, AFC KARKEY narrowly defeated Unknown 3-2 in a tight match. VAFC showed their dominance with a landslide 15-2 victory over Six Sexy Soldiers, with Josh Kirk leading the charge by contributing an impressive 6 goals. Barely Athletic FC couldn't keep up with Man Tity, succumbing to a 4-2 loss. Rounding off the Division 1 action, Hippopotapearce FC overpowered Crosshill FC in an exhilarating 8-4 game.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 also provided its fair share of excitement. BCL FC secured a comfortable 5-1 win against Jalapeno Hotties while Borussia Teeth outshone DZ Warriors, clinching the game 11-1. Matt Blakey of Borussia Teeth was in stellar form, netting 5 goals and storming to the top of Division 2's scoring charts.

This week’s standout player was none other than Borussia Teeth's Matt Blakey, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. His attacking prowess and clinical finish added to his team's resounding victory and established his place at the top of the league.

The season continues to deliver exhilarating football, with players like Josh Kirk and Matt Blakey setting the bar high with their performances. As we move into Week 10, we look forward to more hard-fought matches and breath-taking moments in the Portsmouth Wednesday 6-a-side League.
