It was good night of action overall at Lichfield Leisure Leagues which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled.
In the Premier League, Out On Bale secured an important 4-2 victory over Show me the mane to keep intouch with APFC who couldn't break through Pique Blinders defence in a scoreless stalemate. Weasels boosted their survival hopes as they triumphed over Dairy Milk FC with a 3-0 scoreline while Inter Yanan and Yes Chef played out a 1-1 draw.
Moving to Division 1, Barely Athletic stood out with a commanding 8-1 victory over Marodinner. MK Dongs also registered a decisive 6-2 win against ICE PACK while Exeter Gently overcame Slick Ricks Army with a 3-1 score to continue their fine form. The match between Surreal Madrid and Colonel Getafe ended with a 2-0 victory for the latter.
In Division 2, Thursday Club kept up their promotion charge with 6-0 win against Law Abiding Sigurdssons. Meanwhile, Inter MaVan secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Sutton Sounders, while Murder On Zidanes Floor and Noels Rejects battled to a 1-1 draw. Inter Row Z fell to the Finley Fiddlers with the later securing a 2-0 victory.
As we move into the tenth week of the season, the competition heats up. The teams will need to bring their A-game and continue to impress if they are to secure their respective division titles.
