It was an exciting evening of football at Lichfield Leisure Leagues on Monday. We were delighted to welcome new team Parks Poachers to the league for their long awaited debut!
In the Premier League, Barely Athletic edged out Show Me The Mane with a last minute winner to secure 3-2 win. Out On Bale secured a 2-0 victory against Yes Chef to ensure that they remain top of the table. Exeter Gently held their nerve to secure a narrow 2-1 victory against Pique Blinders. Lastly, APFC and Inter Yanan fought out a closely contested 1-1 draw.
Moving on to Division 1, Colonel Getafe defeated Dairy Milk FC in a 2-1 victory to keep up their 100% record, while ICE PACK pit in the performance of the night to beat Thursday Club 4-1. Finley Fiddlers managed to eke out a 1-0 victory against league debutants Parks Poachers. Elsewhere, Weasels triumphed 3-1 over MK Dongs to move into the second promotion place!
Over in Division 2, Sutton Sounders and Murder on Zidanes Floor couldn't break the deadlock, with the match ending in a goalless draw. Inter MaVan, however, had an impressive 8-1 win against Marodinner. Lastly, Special Olympiakos clinched a tense 3-2 victory against Inter Row Z.
