Overall, it was good evening of football at Lichfield Leisure Leagues on Monday as the pressure goes up a notch in the title and promotion battles!
In arguably the game of the season, Barely Athletic clinched a narrow victory against Inter Yanan in the Premier League, witha 5-4 win to keep the title race alive . APFC managed to edge past Exeter Gently with a 2-1 score in a closely fought match. However, Out On Bale kept their solitary point advantage at the top with a 3-0 victory over Pique Blinders. Yes Chef also secured a victory over SHOW ME THE MANE with a 2-0 scoreline.
In Division 1, Mere Green F and MK Dongs locked horns in an evenly matched game that ended in a 2-2 draw. Finley Fiddlers showcased their strength with a 3-1 win over Weasels. Colonel Getafe edged past ICE PACK, and Parks Poachers fell to Thursday Club with a 0-3 loss.
Division 2 witnessed one of the highest-scoring matches of the week where Club Tropicana Drinks FC beat Inter MaVan 8-3. Baloteletubbies, however, suffered a narrow loss to Inter Row Z, with a 0-1 score. Both Weegion and Marodinner will return to competitive action next week!
