It was a brilliant evening of action at Lichfield Leisure Leagues in our Monday league as we move towards the business end of the season!
In the Premier League, Barely Athletic edged out SHOW ME THE MANE with a narrow 4-3 victory to keep in touch with league leaders. Out On Bale outclassed Yes Chef 5-3 to keep their slender lead at the the top intact.. Inter Yanan and APFC ended their strenuous encounter in a 1-1 draw, keeping APFC firmly in the title equation with only three points separating the top 3. Exeter Gently return to competitive action next week!
Division 1 saw a tightly contested match between Thursday Club and ICE PACK, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Parks Poachers notched up a 3-2 win against Finley Fiddlers, while Colonel Getafe secured a clean 2-0 win over Mere Green F to ensure that they remain on course for the Premier League! Weasels will return for their match against Colonel Getafe next week!
In Division 2, Sutton Sounders squeaked past Baloteletubbies with a 1-0 scoreline, while Inter MaVan fell short against league debutants BaconMbappe with a 2-3 loss. Inter Row Z and Special Olympiakos put up a spirited fight, with the former emerging victorious 2-1. in the battle of the top two, Weegion and Club Tropicana Drinks FC ended their game in a 1-1 deadlock.
