Lichfield Monday Football League Kicks Off New Season

It was a brilliant start to the new campaign in our Lichfield Monday league as a host of teams look to go one better this season! All teams were in attendance with the exception of Sutton Sounders and Baloteletubbies who return as normal for next week

The Premier League opened with a bang. Thursday Club made a strong start to life in the Premier League by defeating Yes Chef 3 - 0. APFC snatched a narrow victory against Barely Athletic with a 1 - 0 win. SHOW ME THE MANE and Colonel Getafe had a tense standoff as the latter return to the division, ending the match in a 1 - 1 draw. Out On Bale took a decisive win against a depleted Inter Yanan side with an impressive 10 - 1 scoreline.

In the Division 1 matches, the ICE PACK conquered the Finley Fiddlers 2 - 1. MK Dongs overpowered Bobcats Bombers 4 - 0, while Club Tropicana Drinks FC beat league debutants Unathletico Madrid 10 - 0. Elsewhere, Weegion picked up a brilliant 3-0 victory over Pique Blinders in their first game since winning promotion.

 Division 2 saw an evenly matched game with Inter MaVan and Inter Row Z ending in a 2 - 2 draw. Finallly, BaconMbappe managed to secure a 3 - 2 victory against Parks Poachers.
