It was a brilliant evening of football in our Lichfield Monday league which saw some huge twists in the title and promotion battles. We thank all teams for their continued support and reliability as always
In the Premier League division, Colonel Getafe dominated Yes Chef with a 4-1 victory, while Barely Athletic and Out On Bale shared a thrilling draw at 3-3 to scupper Bale's title charge. In a huge relegation crunch match, Show Me The Mane had a resounding 5-1 victory over APFC, leaving no stone unturned during the game. The biggest margin of victory was the Thursday Club's 6-1 victory over Perth Glory Hole to move within one point of Bale!
Moving on to Division 1, CF Garobatso and MK Dongs had a fiercely contested match that ended in a 2-2 tie. Pique Blinders narrowly edged past Unathletico Madrid 2-1 in a nail-biting encounter. Weegion however, lost to Ice Pack by a solitary goal, while Club Tropicana Drinks FC managed a close 2-1 win over Bobcats Bombers.
Lastly, in Division 2, Baloteletubbies were outscored 5-3 by Inter MaVan. Mere Green F held off BaconMbappe with a 4-3 victory, while Parks Poachers had a similar result against Inter Row Z. Sutton Sounders and Special Olympiakos battled to a 3-3 draw.
