Lichfield Weekly Round Up 02/12

All teams were in attendance at an excellent evening at King Eddies as we move into the festive round of fixtures.

Premier Division

It was goals galore in the league once again as we saw two matches with 8 goals! In an end to end game, The Fountain put 5 past an unlucky Show me the Mane to come out with a 5-3 victory. However, Byron Boyz thumped seven past Ice Pack in a 7-1 victory, to keep up the pressure on the table toppers.

 Elsewhere, Colonel Getafe edged a close fought encounter with APFC, beating them 2-1 on the night . Finally, Nione FC picked up their second win of the season with a 2-0 win over SBFC.

First Division

Southmill Soccer continued their push for promotion with a 2-1 victory  over Hityobhifromtheback. That win for Southmill sees them strengthen their position in the promotion places with a 5 point gap to 3rd! However, the second promotion spot is all to play for with only two points separating five teams! 

Old Heads moved into that promotion place with a fantastic 3-2 victory over the green & yellow GSA All Stars. Hardley Athletic made it two wins on the spin a with hard fought 2-1 victory over MK Dongs. Finally, Only Fools & Scorers picked up only their second win of the season with a fantastic 5-1 triumph over Too Jazzy FC.
