Lichfield Weekly Round Up 09/12

A huge thank you to all of those teams last night that turned up as scheduled and helped the league run relatively smoothly.

The only thing that ruined the evening was the actions of the players from Byron Boyz and Hardley Athletic who thought it was acceptable to be abusive towards our match officials. Obviously we do not tolerate behaviour of this kind, so both teams have been removed from the league and permanently banned. Both of their opponents APFC and Old Heads have received 5-0 victories due to their removal. 

Lichfield Leisure leagues prides itself on the safe and family feel environment that has been created for players to enjoy playing their football. The fantastic relationship Tony, Lee and Will have built with a huge amount of teams is second to none and any threatening behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated.

Normal service shall return next Monday and make sure to keep your eye out for some Christmas treats!

Premier Division

The Fountain continued their impressive unbeaten run with a fantastic 6-1 victory against Colonel Getafe. Meanwhile, Show me the Mane and Nione FC shared a goal feast with Show me The mane coming out a 6-3 victory. Elsewhere, Ice Pack and SBFC shared the spoils in a very end to end 0-0. The relegation battle is really intensifying now with only 2 points separating the bottom 4 four teams!

First Division 

Southmill Soccer couldn't find a way to beat a resolute Only Fools and Scorers as they shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Too Jazzy FC continued their push for promotion in a fantastic 4-1 victory over GSA All Stars. Finally in arguably the game of the night MK Dongs and Hityobhifromthebackk shared an incredible 16 Goals! Hityobhifromthebackk ran out with a 10-6 victory!
